A vacation getaway with my neney

written by wites under health, Sweet, Cute, Try nyo to!, Gimik

Last week was very exhausting for me: deadlines to meet, bothersome clients, and my neney got sick. And you know how stressful it gets when someone gets sick Anyway, when my neney was recovering, she was advised that she needs to relax. And the best way to relax is to go on a vacation. So that’s exactly what we did.

Saturday came and we went straight heading to a private resort in Lucena, Quezon for an overnight vacation. Upon arriving at Lucena, we still had to take a boat to go to the resort. When we arrived there, we hurriedly unpacked our bags and went to dinner immediately. Dinner was really great; imagine fresh large prawns cooked only by steam, pinakbet, corn chowder with crab meat, sinigang na lapu-lapu and, of course, inihaw na liempo which was grilled to perfection. Muy delicioso!

After dinner, neney was really excited to go swimming. That’s when I found out that she doesn’t know how to swim. So I was giving her lessons on how to float which we dumbly called, “floating exercises”. *hehehe* Anyway, we had to do all that all night but was cut short because it was getting late.

The following day, we got out of bed early because neney’s dad wanted us to go around the farm jogging. We rented one of those golf carts (I don’t know what to call them) so that when someone got tired they could ride on it. Actually, it was fun driving one of those carts.

After that, neney was again asking me to go swimming because she was getting the hang of floating that night and wanted to do it by herself. After some encouragement and her perseverance to learn how to float, she started to float. Though she needed more practice to perfect the skill of floating, she’s doing great for an amatuer. Well, that’s my neney after all. She’s great on everything she does. *smiles*

Lunch came, and man, again it was feast to remember: pansit Lucban, inihaw na manok, chopsuey, cream of corn soup and linasing na hipon.

I really enjoyed that vacation and what makes it more enjoyable is that, I spent it with my neney and her family. I don’t know if we’re going to do it again soon, but the important thing is, we enjoyed and the memory that comes along with it will always be remembered.

Here are pictures that we took during our vacation.

gaining weight. again?

written by wites under health

My Current Weightdamn, i’m gaining weight!

after getting the results from the *forgot the name* machine (usually found in mercury drugstores), it got me thinking that i really should start dieting again. but guess what, i’m not the only one (please stand up to be recognized *lol*).

i remember jogging along mandaluyong circle, usually, around 5:30am. and just a few laps everyday kept my weight under control. oh well, that was before. *lol* now as my age slowly fades away from the calendar days, it seems that maintaining weight or dieting means a lot of hard work. i missed the days when i used to gobble anything i put inside my mouth. the drinking sessions and the pulutans. and those days, eventhough you eat or drink that much, you don’t feel guilty because you’re not getting fat. *sigh* it’s nice to be young. *smile*

btw, neney decided not to post her results because she said it’s classified information. so, ok. i understand. *lol*

allergy skin test

written by wites under health

anyone may have allergies one way or another. even my crocodile skin get infected sometimes. *lol*. but my neney has the worst i’ve seen, so far.

this morning i accompanied my neney for her allergy skin test at the makati medical center. all tests went smoothly except for some scratchy feeling. after 20 minutes or so, the results were up. We found out that she’s allergic to so many things. from eggs, strawberries, chicken meat, shrimps, crabs, etc. but the worst of all, she’s allergic to house dust. but inspite of everything, she’s still happy because she is not allergic to chocolates (which she is fond of) and she also gets a free card from doing chores.

btw, the name of the procedure done to her was the scratch test or also known as the puncture or prick test.

here’s some photos during the tests.
