my birthday and my 23 gifts

written by wites under Sweet, Food & Drinks, Restaurants, Movies, kulets, Try nyo to!, Cute, Kung anu ano

a birthday to remember.

it was supposed to be just an “ordinary birthday day”. lunch at the office with colleagues. open my birthday gift and that’s it. but my neney thought otherwise. i was really surprised when my neney gave me 23 gifts. yes that’s right. 23 gifts that are special to me. it was memorable for me because neney really made an effort of wrapping all 23 gifts one by one. so the whole day i was opening gifts every 30 mins or less just to open them all. and the funny thing is that, everytime i opened one i instantly craved for another. hehehe. i really felt like a child that day.

now allow me enumerate ‘em all here.

  1. breakfast at deli france. crispy bacon and eggs = yum!
  2. wonka nerds — i’m just a sucker for this
  3. mead notebook — since college i was dying to get one
  4. staedtler pens — my lust for colorful pens
  5. aji ichiban haw flakes — reminds me of my childhood
  6. bench shorts — my everyday gear
  7. altoids peppermints — just curious
  8. bench greentea facial cleanser — i was just forced to use this. but i like it.
  9. addlife coq10 — my vitamins
  10. rittersport cappucino — my other vitamins. hehehe
  11. baskin & robbins candies — i like anything choco and mint
  12. old spice deodorant — my regimen
  13. ricola greentea swiss herb lozenges — as long as it’s greentea
  14. hersey’s kisses — my other vitamins. did i just say that?
  15. bench undershirt — everyday gear again.
  16. panoxyl acnegel — gotta rid of those pimples
  17. coldrock ice cream — more sweets.
  18. flipper toothbrush covers — they look cute
  19. c-lium fibre food supplement — keeping cholesterol levels low
  20. thomas nash long sleeves — sweet
  21. springfield shirt — nice
  22. memory box — i know i have to clean my room
  23. cute anime action figure — nobody touches it but me

but it doesn’t end there.

we ate dinner at the seafood club by red crab in greenbelt and watched “the departed” which starred by leonardo decaprio, matt damon and jack nicholson.

eating at the seafood club was really great. imagine eating a king crab cooked in butter and lots of garlic. wow! a very delicious gastronomic experience. okay, that’s enough now. my mouth is watery again. *smiles* i wish we could go back there.

My Birthday

you see, it was indeed a day to remember for me. thanks neneyful.

chocoanimated existence

written by xine under Kung anu ano

whoa! it’s been more than two weeks since our last post. i was supposed to write a few things here but i always end up with unfinished drafts. now i’ve finally decided to publish this one. tagal ng wala post kse. here goes…

i’ve noticed that ali loves to eat nerds lately and he’s really developing a sweet tooth. (recent sightings include: ali with ritter sport - whole hazelnuts; ali with ritter sport - whole almonds; ali with meiji macadamia chocolate; ali’s chair with traces of ritter sport chocolate - possibly the hazelnut variant). i’m a chocoholic since i was a kid and ali is quickly becoming one too. he used to hate sweets, not naman hate-hate but he wasn’t too fond of them before. :D

we had a stormy 9th month. we just had a quick dinner at a nearby fastfood because of the threatening weather. makati was such a terrible sight after that typhoon shook everything up. everything seemed gloomy. but after a few days everything turned out okay. thank God.

hmmm… what else should i write here? oh yeah, we watched the 2nd of the 3-part anime OVA series interlude and it’s pretty good. can’t wait to see the third. i just love anime. i hope ali would find his kenshin series because i didn’t get to finish it. after interlude, we’ll probably watch serial experiments lain.

i’m not sure if i’m making any sense here. my thoughts are quite jumbled up and shit so please bear with me. btw, i just finished a project that’s been messing up my schedule for a few weeks already. finally! yay! :)

what does it taste like?

written by wites under kulets, Cute, Try nyo to!, Kung anu ano

sometimes my neney never fails to amaze me. read on…

this afternoon, i was really craving for a liver spread sandwich. so i told my neney that it would be our merienda (snacks) for today. she agreed and off we went to the convenience store. when we came back, i gladly made her a sandwich. but what made her liver spread sandwich unique was that she added some mr. chips (a triangular-shaped premium-quality corn chips from URC) in between. all i did was scratched my head and smiled.

Smorgazborg

now the question is, what does it taste like?

free embassy tickets

written by wites under Gimik, Kung anu ano

yep, that’s right folks. me and my neney are giving away two free tickets at the embassy to attend the i-on day2nite party. this will be happening on august 31, 2006 and starts at 6pm.

embassy tickets

what’s the catch?

well, i don’t know if there is any, but in exchange for the tickets you guys need to answer some questions.

the questions.

1. why do think you deserve the tickets?
2. who are you coming with and why?
3. do you have an imaginary friend? if so, would you take him/her to the embassy party? — i don’t know why neney wants to know about this.

be sure to answer all the questions in order to qualify. the contest will end on august 25 and we will be announcing the winners the next day.

css thingy on a rainy tuesday

written by xine under Kung anu ano

ali is helping me with my project’s css. i dont really know much about that actually. really glad to have my neney helping me out and cleaning up my ultra-messy codes. thanks sweetie! :)

today is tuesday. so far we’re A-okay. no fights yet. hope there wouldn’t be any. it’s really cold here in the office and it’s still raining outside. it’s been raining for days. not really happy when it rains but i kinda like rain. i wrote something about rain a few months back. oh well, i gotta get back to work. (the weather outside’s kinda telling me something like “your eyes are getting heavy, you are falling into a deep slumber…)

darn! i need caffeine!

neney and handicap signs

written by wites under kulets, Kung anu ano

handicap signswe were walking along makati med when my neney suddendly blocked my way, “wag ka umapak dyan.” pointing to the handicap sign embedded on the walkway. “bakit naman?”, i said with disbelief. she said, “kasi malulumpo ka rin.” followed by burst of laughter.

see how adorable my neney is? sometimes i just don’t know where she gets all these ideas.

got the moves? then move-me

written by wites under Opis, Kung anu ano

another lazy afternoon in the office and people just can’t get enough of watching videos from move-me.com. well, i have to admit it. it’s hilarious!

Dancer

so what is move-me.com?

move-me.com is a unique opportunity for anyone to experience being a performer working with some of the world’s most exciting dance-makers and to have their work seen on the world wide web.

so how is it done?

you go inside the booth, the user selects their choice of choreographer and then, guided by instructions, creates a unique and instant dance that is captured on video within the confines of the booth. On leaving the booth, the user will pick up a printed time and dated ticket, with details of the move-me.com website address and an I.D number, allowing them to find their own video dance works. They will also be able to add personal details to be read alongside their recorded video dance.

Why arti.kulet?

written by xine under Kung anu ano

that word was coined by my dad, he said that I’m quite an articulate girl, but he meant it as “maarte na, makulet pa” and I guess my neney concurs. I once asked him to describe me in one word, you know what he said, uhm, “maarte” (is it finicky in english?). wow, was i surprised, of all the things he could’ve said, he chose finicky. and this guy’s supposed to be in love with me??? oh well, i guess i’m a bit finicky especially when it comes to food and toilets and public transportation… yeah, the list goes on. i’m finicky since birth, ayt?

ye happy now?
