AW+. Notes that make you say awww.
AW+ features random notes from your loved ones. Anything written or drawn by your significant other, your kids or even your parents or by anybody which made you feel all warm and fuzzy inside is an AW+ note.
Ali came up with the idea of having the AW+ category since we’ve collected quite a number of notes from each other already. The notes which are mostly drawings started out as a ‘day brightener’. We have this cute yellow note holder where we place our notes in the morning. We thought that AW+ is a good opportunity to share the notes that we receive and maybe eventually inspire someone. It’s all about sharing the happiness and spreading the love.
We actually made a post about AW+ a few months ago, but because of time constraints, we weren’t able to officially put it up. We decided that today is a good day to tell you more about AW+ since it’s also our 18th month as a couple. Ali is really sweet fix the site to accommodate AW+ today.
We encourage you to send us a copy of the notes that you receive too and we’ll feature them. Attach your note in an email and send us a brief description of it too. So go ahead, scan that drawing of your kid that’s been on your fridge for the longest time. Dig in those letters that you’ve treasured and we’ll gladly feature them for you. Hopefully we can put more smiles in your faces as you browse through this category.
Below are few of the older notes that we received from each other.
I gave this to Ali after he gave me a planner from Starbucks.

Before, whenever we have arguments they seem to fall on a Tuesday. We seldom have fights now. Yay!
Ali’s note reads: Today is Tuesday Ney and you know what that means. I hope this day would be different from any other Tuesdays we have. ILOVEYOU!!!

Here’s another one from Ali. He drew this after I gave him a paper crane :)

A vacation getaway with my neney
Last week was very exhausting for me: deadlines to meet, bothersome clients, and my neney got sick. And you know how stressful it gets when someone gets sick Anyway, when my neney was recovering, she was advised that she needs to relax. And the best way to relax is to go on a vacation. So that’s exactly what we did.
Saturday came and we went straight heading to a private resort in Lucena, Quezon for an overnight vacation. Upon arriving at Lucena, we still had to take a boat to go to the resort. When we arrived there, we hurriedly unpacked our bags and went to dinner immediately. Dinner was really great; imagine fresh large prawns cooked only by steam, pinakbet, corn chowder with crab meat, sinigang na lapu-lapu and, of course, inihaw na liempo which was grilled to perfection. Muy delicioso!
After dinner, neney was really excited to go swimming. That’s when I found out that she doesn’t know how to swim. So I was giving her lessons on how to float which we dumbly called, “floating exercises”. *hehehe* Anyway, we had to do all that all night but was cut short because it was getting late.
The following day, we got out of bed early because neney’s dad wanted us to go around the farm jogging. We rented one of those golf carts (I don’t know what to call them) so that when someone got tired they could ride on it. Actually, it was fun driving one of those carts.
After that, neney was again asking me to go swimming because she was getting the hang of floating that night and wanted to do it by herself. After some encouragement and her perseverance to learn how to float, she started to float. Though she needed more practice to perfect the skill of floating, she’s doing great for an amatuer. Well, that’s my neney after all. She’s great on everything she does. *smiles*
Lunch came, and man, again it was feast to remember: pansit Lucban, inihaw na manok, chopsuey, cream of corn soup and linasing na hipon.
I really enjoyed that vacation and what makes it more enjoyable is that, I spent it with my neney and her family. I don’t know if we’re going to do it again soon, but the important thing is, we enjoyed and the memory that comes along with it will always be remembered.
Here are pictures that we took during our vacation.

boys over flowers again?
I felt that my lastest post about Hana Yori Dango was lacking something. And it hit me, I forgot to add the tv series’ theme song. *smile* So here it is, Planetarium by Ai Otsuka. Enjoy it!
Chibi neney here’s your requested song. *smiles*

boys over flowers
We have a new addiction. No, it’s not drugs. It’s neither food nor drinks. It’s actually an old jdorama (japanese dramas) adapted from the manga series (created by Yoko Kamio) which later on also made into an anime tv series. The title of the series we’ve been drooling over for the past week is Hana Yori Dango or Boys Over Flowers in English. I know it sounds funny but wait ’til you watch it. You’ll definitely become a fan. I know we did. *smiles*
If you’re familiar with the F4 or Meteor Garden then this live-action drama series will definitely ring a bell. Though Meteor Garden was released ealier in Taiwan this was the basis of it all. I’ve never really watched Meteor Garden before (well, not the entire series *hehehe*) but many Filipinos went gaga over it. As far as I can remember, this started the reign of asianovelas in our generation. The truth is, my neney even had a crush on Huaze Lei and made him her desktop wallpaper. Don’t deny it ney. *hehehe*
Anyway, we’re currently on episode 5 and we can’t wait for the next installment.
